Regina Wetherspoon,  M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

Regina Wetherspoon, M.S., CCC-SLP, brings to Access to Better Communication many years of experience in the field of pediatric speech-language pathology. Regina holds a Bachelor of Science(B.A.) in Communication Disorders in 1986 from Louisiana State University - BatonRouge and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 1992 from Southern University.

 

Regina served children grades PreK through 5th grade in the Ascension Parish School System for 33 years before joining ABC. Her commitment to helping children with communication disorders has resulted in a plethora of experience evaluating children, providing speech and language therapy, writing Individualized Education Plans, and collaborating with parents, teachers, and administrators.  Her history of work in the school settings has allowed her to develop expertise in collaborating with teachers to make sure that children's therapy sessions are functional and support their social, emotional, and academic success. Her continuing education is extensive.

Regina loves working with children.  Her face lights up when she talks about her work!

 

Regina is a native of  Louisiana.  She has seven children, including her fur babies, Blu and Dane.  In her free time, she enjoys dancing, watching movies, traveling, and experiencing new things. And, she loves chocolate!
